Hi! Thanks for stopping by.
Have some candy 😃

A small decorative basket filled with colorful candy on my desk makes my workspace look much more inviting and appealing. These sweet treats and a cup of coffee help boost my energy and motivate me to be productive.

I like to do things at my own pace in a comfortable workspace and reward myself when I have been productive. Is this you also?

This basket doesn't even have to be for candy. You can use this to store your little trinkets or your stitch markers. It is also a good decoration item for Easter and Christmas. The little handles add to the design and make it easy to pick up and move around. I crocheted this sturdy mini basket with handles using macrame, but you can use any worsted weight yarn if you don't want to use macrame.

Like all of my other crochet projects, this mini basket is beginner-friendly. You'll finish making this in no time!

Materials Needed:
3mm single-strand cotton macrame cord or substitute with any worsted weight yarn (Category 4)
Crochet Hook: 4.00mm (US G) and 3.75mm (US F)
Stitch Markers
Yarn Needle
Scissors

Stitches (US terms used):
MC = Magic Circle (See video tutorial here)
CH = Chain
SLST = Slip Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
YO = Yarn Over
ST(s) = Stitch(es)

Look how adorable these two cupcake sisters are with their curls.
They're dressed in matching frilled skirts and going for
a leisurely walk on a spring morning...

That's what I imagined when I drew up a design for this drawstring bag, and I couldn't help smiling a little when I finished crocheting these bags and took this picture. I'm smiling again while writing this blog post!

That was how much fun I had in the process of making this super beginner-friendly drawstring bag. It is made mainly of textured double crochet stitches. There is no need to cut and attach the yarn to make the frill - simply work your way bottom-up, just like you would for any other crochet bag.

See the video tutorial below to make this for yourself or your loved ones!

Materials Needed:
Light worsted weight (Category 3) milk cotton yarn
Crochet Hook: 4.50mm (US 7)
Stitch Markers (optional but recommended)
Yarn Needle
Scissors

Stitches (US terms used):
CH = Chain
SLST = Slip Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
YO = Yarn Over
ST(s) = Stitch(es)

 Ask me about one of my favorite crochet stitches,
and it has to be this flowy texture that reminds me of
a field of flowers swaying gracefully in the cool breeze!

Can you believe that this texture is made entirely of double crochet stitches? It is just a matter of where your hook goes and which direction you're crocheting in (if this doesn't make sense to you, watch the video tutorial, and you'll see what I mean!)

I am like many other females who can never have enough bags to store all the little trinkets. Crochet drawstring bags are my favorite type of bag because they don't require any additional materials or equipment to make. All you need is a crochet hook and enough yarn - even scrap yarn.

I see these bags as a fashion item, so I like to have my bags in all the colors and textures you can think of, and this is one of them that I'm sharing with you.

Repeat: As complex as this stitch looks, it is made entirely of double crochet stitches. Nothing especially fancy. Therefore, it is beginner-friendly!

Materials Needed:
Light worsted weight (Category 3) 100% cotton yarn
Crochet Hook: 3.75mm (US F)
Stitch Marker (optional)
Yarn Needle
Scissors

Stitches (US terms used):
CH = Chain
SLST = Slip Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
YO = Yarn Over
ST(s) = Stitch(es)

This is known as the Granny Spike stitch, just in case you're wondering!😉

A very belated Happy New Year!
... and also a one-day-late Happy Valentine's Day!

When I started my Youtube Channel, I said that I would post a new tutorial every week, but I have not been consistent because I have been busy with other things. I haven't stopped crafting, though! I just didn't have enough time to film and edit videos.

I love the natural look and texture of plain, pure cotton yarn projects - there's something homey and comforting about them. And then I realized that for some reason, I have not made many tutorials with cotton yarn so far. This is a doily coaster that I designed quite a while back, so I decided to make a tutorial for this.

It does look similar to a granny circle, but I wanted to give it more of a flowery and lacy look. The edge ended up with a very slight frilly look, which is my favorite part of this doily.

If you are looking for a quick beginner-friendly scrap yarn project or making a gift for someone, try out this doily coaster!

Materials Needed:
Light worsted weight (Category 3) 100% cotton yarn
Crochet Hook: 3.50mm (US E)
Stitch Marker (optional)
Yarn Needle
Scissors

Stitches (US terms used):
CH = Chain
SLST = Slip Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
HDC = Half Double Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
YO = Yarn Over
ST(s) = Stitch(es)

...Imagine a cute little girl in a dress (or costume) carrying this basket full of small treats🍬

Happy Halloween! It's been a while, and I'm back with more decorative crochet baskets.

I had a few old balls of bulky weight acrylic yarn in my stash, so I decided to use them to make something.

It started as a little orange pumpkin, but I wasn't satisfied and pulled it apart about halfway through. These days, my small crochet projects tend to end up as baskets, and they did again. I turned that little pumpkin into decorative pom poms on the side of the basket, then also decided to add a handle.

I used fall-themed colors for this project, but you can use other colors for any season. You can crochet this basket for Halloween, Christmas, and even Easter, depending on the color you use. Since the basket has a handle, it would also work great as a cute little gift basket.

Below you will find the video tutorial for this crochet basket, the materials needed, stitches used, and the gauge.

Materials Needed:
Bulky weight (Category 5) acrylic yarn
Crochet Hook: 6.00mm (US J) and 4.50mm (US 7)
Stitch Marker
Yarn Needle
Scissors

Stitches (US terms used):
MC = Magic Circle (See video tutorial here)
CH = Chain
SLST = Slip Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
HDC = Half Double Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
4DCTOG = 4 Double Crochet Stitches Together
YO = Yarn Over
ST(s) = Stitch(es)

Special Stitches:
4DCTOG = 4 Double Crochet Stitches Together: (YO, insert hook into the next ST. YO and pull up a loop. YO again, pull through only the first 2 loops) Repeat inside parentheses() a total of 4 times. You should now have 5 loops on your hook and 4 unfinished DCs. YO and pull through all 5 loops on your hook.

Gauge:
Base Rounds 1-4 = measure about 10cm (4"), using a 6.00mm (US J) crochet hook

 I think doilies are so pretty, even the simple ones!
I'm taking a little trip down memory lane, remembering how my crochet journey began.

One of the first crochet projects I made when I learned how to crochet was a doily. When I was 8, my aunt taught me a little bit of knitting, and also how to crochet flat single crochet swatches. I wasn't interested in any of these yarn crafts until I crocheted my first little doily using beige-colored cotton yarn. I was so proud of myself and fell in love with crocheting. That was how I finally learned all the basic crochet stitches and got better and better at it.

And then I became absorbed in other, more fancy crochet projects and forgot all about doilies until very recently when I suddenly had the urge to crochet a doily. So here is an easy one that even beginners can make.

I have one on my desk right now for my coffee mug. It uses very little yarn (about 6g in my case), so you can easily use your scrap yarn to make this.😉

Below, you will find the video tutorial for this crochet flower doily coaster, the materials needed, stitches used, and the finished size.

Materials Needed:
Light worsted weight (Category 3) 100% cotton yarn
Crochet Hook: 3.50mm (US E/4)
Stitch Marker (optional)
Yarn Needle
Scissors

Stitches (US terms used):
CH = Chain
SLST = Slip Stitch
HDC = Half Double Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
YO = Yarn Over
ST(s) = Stitch(es)

Finished Size:
Rounds 1-4 = measure about 10cm (4") across.

How did your crochet journey begin?😌
Was this your first crochet project? Tell me something about your first crochet experience!

 From hexagons to pentagons,
From star motifs to baskets!

I love to experiment. This one looks quite similar to the simple hexagon-shaped basket I made earlier. That hexagon made me want to make another that is pentagon-shaped. This time I wanted something more colorful.

I had a lot of fun playing with scrap yarn while working on this pentagon-shaped basket, which started as a star motif. Don't you think the star in the middle matches the five bead-like corners of the basket so very well?

I hope you will have as much fun crocheting this basket as I did.

I think this is a great Christmas crochet project, by the way!

Below you will find the video tutorial for this crochet basket, the materials needed, stitches used, and the gauge.

Materials Needed:
Light worsted weight (Category 3) milk cotton yarn
Crochet Hook: 3.00mm
Stitch Markers
Yarn Needle
Scissors

Stitches (US terms used):
MC = Magic Circle (See video tutorial here)
CH = Chain
SLST = Slip Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
HDC = Half Double Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
TR = Treble Crochet
ESC = Extended Single Crochet
EDC = Extended Double Crochet
YO = Yarn Over
ST(s) = Stitch(es)

Special Stitches:
ESC = Extended Single Crochet: Insert hook into the next ST. YO, pull up a loop = 2 loops on the hook. YO, pull through only the first loop = 2 loops on the hook. YO, pull through both loops.

EDC = Extended Double Crochet*: YO, insert hook into the next ST. YO, pull up a loop = 3 loops on the hook. YO, pull through the first 2 loops = 2 loops on the hook. YO, pull through only the first loop = 2 loops on the hook. YO, pull through both loops.

*Please note that the EDC stitch used in this project is crocheted my way, and not the traditional way. In case you were wondering, this is how to crochet it the traditional way: YO, insert hook into the next ST. YO, pull up a loop = 3 loops on the hook. YO, pull through only the first loop = 3 loops on the hook. YO, pull through 2 loops = 2 loops left on the hook. YO, pull through both loops.
Feel free to crochet it whichever way you want, but I think my altered version looks better for this project!

Gauge:
Base Rounds 1-6 = measure about 11cm across

Sparkly diamonds! Doesn't this remind you of one? Well, it does for me😀

I got this sparkly diamond kind of by accident! I know it's not an actual diamond, and it's not sparkly, but my imagination told me it is.😉 I randomly started with a hexagon, thought for a moment of something fun to make out of it, and now I have a hexagon-shaped basket. I think it is the not-so-solid hexagon bottom and the beaded corners that gave it the sparkly diamond effect.

My goal was to make something small, practical, and unique with as little yarn as possible. I used only about 12g of yarn to make this basket, but the inside of this small basket is quite spacey.

Below, you will find the video tutorial for this crochet basket, the materials needed, stitches used, and the gauge.

Materials Needed:
Light worsted weight (Category 3) milk cotton yarn
Crochet Hook: 2.50mm
Stitch Markers
Yarn Needle
Scissors

Stitches (US terms used):
MC = Magic Circle (See video tutorial here)
CH = Chain
SLST = Slip Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
YO = Yarn Over
ST(s) = Stitch(es)

Gauge:
Base Rounds 1-5 = measure about 11cm across

I can gaze at the white, fluffy dandelions forever.
They are so delicate, tender, so satisfying, and so inspiring!

Ever since I was a child, one way to relax or distract myself whenever I am going through a difficult time is to read. I would often binge-read late into the night and finish the book at 5 a.m., then go to school with dark circles under my eyes, and people would think that I had been studying so hard😂 I think a lot of you can relate to this!

I turned my love for dandelions into a bookmark to make reading time even more pleasurable. I hope this dandelion-inspired flower bookmark will also bring smiles and relaxation to you.

You will only need about 3g of yarn (I recommend cotton). This scrap yarn crochet project is beginner-friendly, and you can easily make this simple and elegant bookmark for yourself or your loved ones.

Materials Needed:
Light worsted weight (Category 3) 100% cotton yarn
Crochet Hook: 3.00mm
Stitch Marker (optional)
Yarn Needle
Scissors

Stitches (US terms used):
CH = Chain
SLST = Slip Stitch
DC = Double Crochet
YO = Yarn Over
ST(s) = Stitch(es)

Have you ever crocheted with macrame?
If yes, what did you make?

What I like about crocheting with macrame is how defined the stitches look. I made this flower meadow-inspired desk basket using two all-time favorite crochet stitches: a variation of the moss stitch and the star stitch.

I also came up with a way to make both sides of the basket's oval base look almost identical, and I also tried to make the joins as invisible as possible. "What's the point?" You ask.

Because this is a shallow basket that will be sitting on a desk or table, it is an eye-level object. The insides will often also be visible, so in my opinion, it's better if it looks as neat as the outside. I want decorative objects to look attractive from all angles. Watch the video tutorial to find out how I did this!

You can use this basket to keep your writing utensils or crochet hooks. It also works as a bedside tray for eyeglasses if you wear glasses.

Materials Needed:
2mm colored cotton macrame cord (I used about 49g)
Crochet Hook: 3.50mm (US E/4)
Stitch Markers (recommended)
Yarn Needle
Scissors

Stitches (US terms used):
CH = Chain
SLST = Slip Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
HDC = Half Double Crochet
YO = Yarn Over
ST(s) = Stitch(es)

Let's make a strawberry bag using beans!
Doesn't this drawstring pouch remind you a little of strawberries?
It's quick and easy to make.

I travel a LOT, and I always listen to music, so I need to have my earphones with me so I can listen to all my favorite songs, especially on long flights. I made this drawstring pouch to store my earphones so I can easily carry them around in my bag or purse wherever I go.

I wanted a simple pouch, but it also has to be fun to make, so here comes the mini bean stitch.😀 This is one of my favorite crochet stitches because of how defined the texture looks, but it isn't too heavy either. I think this is such a cute-looking stitch, especially when made into a bag or pouch! To add to the fun, I finished with the crab stitch to give this drawstring pouch a wavy edge that looks solid and defined when pulled closed.

Below, you will find the video tutorial for this crochet drawstring bag, the materials needed, the stitches used, and the gauge.

Materials Needed:
Light worsted weight (Category 3) milk cotton yarn
Crochet Hooks: 3.00mm and 2.50mm
Stitch Markers
Yarn Needle
Scissors

Stitches (US terms used):
CH = Chain
SLST = Slip Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
YO = Yarn Over
ST(s) = Stitch(es)

Special Stitch:
Mini Puff Stitch = Insert hook into the next ST. YO and pull up a loop. There are 2 loops on your hook. YO and insert hook into the same ST. YO and pull up another loop. You should have 4 loops on your hook. YO and pull through all 4 loops on your hook. CH1.

Gauge:
Base = measure about 11.5cm long

She sells seashells by the seashore.
This childhood tongue twister randomly floated into my mind😂
This little crochet bowl screams summer and makes me want to go to the beach!

There was a time in elementary school when I was fascinated with collecting seashells, rocks, and stones. I loved holding the seashell to my ear and closing my eyes to hear the sound of the crashing waves. Can you relate?

This fascination went on for several years - I think it was from when I was in Grade 2 to around Grade 4. I had many jars filled with seashells of all colors, sizes, and shapes that I would collect every time I went to the beach on family trips. And my eyes would constantly scan around for beautiful rocks and stones wherever I went. I had large bags to keep this collection of rocks and stones. My friends and I would bring our collection of seashells, rocks, and stones to school to boast and marvel at all the impressive shapes and colors. Remembering this makes me smile, and this little shell-shaped bowl reminds me so much of my childhood fascination.

I think this small crochet basket is good for keeping small jewelry and accessories, but I'm using it to keep my stitch markers!

Watch the video tutorial below to find out how to make this super easy summery, beachy crochet bowl/basket!

Materials Needed:
Light worsted weight (Category 3) 100% cotton yarn
Crochet Hook: 3.50mm (US E/4)
Stitch Markers
Yarn Needle
Scissors

Stitches (US terms used):
CH = Chain
SLST = Slip Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
YO = Yarn Over
ST(s) = Stitch(es)

Gauge:
Rounds 1-4 = measure about 7cm across

 I made this using lace yarn. Please don't run off yet - it's easy! You'll be using a larger hook, and it won't take you forever to make this. If lace yarn is not your cup of tea, but you still like the pattern, yarn substitution is also possible.😉

Working with lace yarn can be tricky because they're so small you can hardly see the stitches, and it takes patience to finish large projects. But I think projects made with lace yarn can look very elegant and cute at the same time.

I wanted to use lace yarn differently to give it a new look and feel. The result is this drawstring bag. I combined several strands of different colors to mimic larger, unplied variegated yarn. The idea of crocheting multiple strands of yarn together used to scare me off, but it is surprisingly easy if you use the appropriate hook size.

Below, you will find the video tutorial for this crochet drawstring bag, the materials needed, the stitches used, and the gauge.

Materials Needed:
4 colors of acrylic lace weight yarn (or substitute with a single light worsted weight yarn if finding 4 colors of lace yarn is too much trouble for you)
2 Leather strips (optional - you can simply make long chains)
Crochet Hook: 4.50mm (US 7)
Stitch Markers
Yarn Needle
Scissors

Stitches (US terms used):
MC = Magic Circle (See video tutorial here)
CH = Chain
SLST = Slip Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
BLSC = Back Loop Single Crochet
BLDC = Back Loop Double Crochet
4DCTOG = 4 Double Crochet Stitches Together (Bobble Stitch)
CH3-picot = Picot Stitch made with 3 Chain Stitches
YO = Yarn Over
ST(s) = Stitch(es)

Special Stitches:
4DCTOG = 4 Double Crochet Stitches Together, referred to as the "Bobble Stitch": (YO, insert hook into the next ST. YO and pull up a loop. YO again, pull through only the first 2 loops) Repeat inside parentheses() a total of 4 times all into the same ST. You should now have 5 loops on your hook and 4 unfinished DCs. YO and pull through all 5 loops on your hook.

CH3-picot: Make a CH of 3, SLST into the first CH.

Gauge:
Base Rounds 1-5 = measure about 12cm across

Hi there! This is my first time reaching out to share one of my crochet projects with fellow crocheters worldwide. I hope you will enjoy this and many more projects to come.

I originally made this eyeglass case for my mom. When I was halfway through the project, I was pleasantly surprised; This case fitted my 1st generation iPhone SE so very snugly!😂 Now I know that this pattern would also work for other small phones like the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 5/5s.

Then, I thought, 'Why not make a tutorial out of this?'
So I made another one for myself and filmed the process.

I used a variation of the tulip stitch for this project. I wanted this to be entirely flower-themed and as hassle-free as possible, which was why I chose to make a 3D flower to use as a button so I didn't have to find the right button to sew on.

Below you will find the video tutorial, the materials needed, the stitches used, and the gauge for this crochet eyeglass case... Or phone cover. Phone case. Phone bag. Sunglasses case. Up to you!

Materials Needed:
Light worsted weight (Category 3) milk cotton yarn
Crochet Hook: 2.50mm
Stitch Marker (optional)
Yarn Needle
Scissors

Stitches (US terms used):
CH = Chain
SLST = Slip Stitch
HDC = Half Double Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
2DCTOG = 2 Double Crochet Stitches Together
YO = Yarn Over
ST(s) = Stitch(es)

Special Stitches:
2DCTOG = 2 Double Crochet Stitches Together: (YO, insert hook into the next ST. YO and pull up a loop. YO again, pull through only the first 2 loops) Repeat inside parentheses() a total of 2 times. You should now have 3 loops on your hook and 2 unfinished DCs. YO and pull through all 3 loops on your hook.

Gauge:
Base Rounds 1-2 = measure about 7cm long.
If you need your work to be exactly the same size as mine, use any size hook to obtain the gauge.
