It's called the Blast of Blossoms, because I designed this in early spring.
I just love the time of the year when flowers of all colors begin to pop out everywhere.
And I can never have enough coasters and doilies. They are such a joy to design. They're so pretty and delicate-looking they make my coffee and tea taste betterπ Can you relate?
Life has been very chaotic for me, unfortunately, so I wasn't able to edit and upload the tutorial, which I filmed months ago.
The good news is that I did find some time to crochet during my six-month hiatus and came up with several projects, which are now all on my tutorials to-do list. I'm hoping to get my next one done soon.
Meanwhile, I hope these late bloomers will brighten up your day!
Yay! Of all the crochet scrunchies I've made so far, this one is my favorite, and I can finally share this with you.
I love how it looks on my hair, and I think it will look great on yours, too. Even on your wrist!π
I have wanted to make a crochet scrunchie tutorial for some time now, but all this time, I was trying to figure out a way to crochet one that doesn't have to be thrown away or redone eventually once the elastic gets stretched out or breaks. Wouldn't you hate to throw out the project you spent time crocheting with that favorite yarn?
I also wanted it to look like a flower in full bloom. As I mentioned in my previous blog post, I love flowers, and many of my crochet projects are flower-inspired.
Don't worry. I know this looks complicated, but this double-layered ruffled scrunchie will not take a long time to make at all. It is easy to make and also easy to fix. Gather your materials now to make this scrunchie for yourself or to give as a gift.

Do you like to decorate your homespace? I think crochet art looks so beautiful as decorations.
It was late morning. I sat down with my cup of iced coffee and grabbed some yarn from my stash and one of my crochet hooks, wondering what I should make. Some aimless crocheting and lots of frogging gave me this doily coaster set.
When it comes to doilies, I like to make something that resembles flowers because I love flowers! Recently when I was picking out a few blouses for my mom and myself, she said, "You're filling the entire closet with flowers." That was when I realized how many of my belongings resemble flowers or have flowers on them.
This doily is no different. If you are like me and like some flowery decorations for your homespace, try out this easy crochet doily coaster and flower motif set!
Materials Needed: Fine weight (Category 2) 100% cotton yarn Crochet Hook: 2.75mm (US C) Stitch Marker (optional) Yarn Needle Scissors

A very belated Happy New Year!
... and also a one-day-late Happy Valentine's Day!
When I started my Youtube Channel, I said that I would post a new tutorial every week, but I have not been consistent because I have been busy with other things. I haven't stopped crafting, though! I just didn't have enough time to film and edit videos.
I love the natural look and texture of plain, pure cotton yarn projects - there's something homey and comforting about them. And then I realized that for some reason, I have not made many tutorials with cotton yarn so far. This is a doily coaster that I designed quite a while back, so I decided to make a tutorial for this.
It does look similar to a granny circle, but I wanted to give it more of a flowery and lacy look. The edge ended up with a very slight frilly look, which is my favorite part of this doily.
If you are looking for a quick beginner-friendly scrap yarn project or making a gift for someone, try out this doily coaster!

I think doilies are so pretty, even the simple ones! I'm taking a little trip down memory lane, remembering how my crochet journey began.
One of the first crochet projects I made when I learned how to crochet was a doily. When I was 8, my aunt taught me a little bit of knitting, and also how to crochet flat single crochet swatches. I wasn't interested in any of these yarn crafts until I crocheted my first little doily using beige-colored cotton yarn. I was so proud of myself and fell in love with crocheting. That was how I finally learned all the basic crochet stitches and got better and better at it.
And then I became absorbed in other, more fancy crochet projects and forgot all about doilies until very recently when I suddenly had the urge to crochet a doily. So here is an easy one that even beginners can make.
I have one on my desk right now for my coffee mug. It uses very little yarn (about 6g in my case), so you can easily use your scrap yarn to make this.π
Below, you will find the video tutorial for this crochet flower doily coaster, the materials needed, stitches used, and the finished size.

I can gaze at the white, fluffy dandelions forever. They are so delicate, tender, so satisfying, and so inspiring!
Ever since I was a child, one way to relax or distract myself whenever I am going through a difficult time is to read. I would often binge-read late into the night and finish the book at 5 a.m., then go to school with dark circles under my eyes, and people would think that I had been studying so hardπ I think a lot of you can relate to this!
I turned my love for dandelions into a bookmark to make reading time even more pleasurable. I hope this dandelion-inspired flower bookmark will also bring smiles and relaxation to you.
You will only need about 3g of yarn (I recommend cotton). This scrap yarn crochet project is beginner-friendly, and you can easily make this simple and elegant bookmark for yourself or your loved ones.
My name is Caylene. I love the beautiful nature around me. Whenever I have time, I come here to my little comfort space to share one of my definitions of happiness with you: CROCHETING. I hope the crochet patterns I create will also bring light and joy to your day, even during dark times.
